The View From My Fishbowl

(Sigh) My template is gone. Well, not gone completely, because I do have it saved to a nifty little text document, but I am unable to use it right now. Let me explain.

I love Beta versions. I love trying them out and being the first to use the cool features. So, Blogger came out with a Beta version, and I immediately changed over. Well, one of their new features is an easier-to-edit template plan, where you can drag items around, easily pick colors, and not have to mess with all the HTML stuff. But, here’s the hitch. Once you change to Beta version, you can’t change back. And one thing they haven’t finished yet is the ability to edit HTML in the Beta version. So even though you can drag your items and change your colors, you can’t just go in and make up your own template. Which I like to do. And now I can’t, because you have to use one of their form templates. And I am sad.

So please, ignore my background, ignore my sidebar, and ignore the header. They are all ugly and plain. And hopefully (soon!) Blogger will have things working, and I can change it back to my normal home. Just think of it as a motel room for now…a home, away from home, but very sterile and…boring. Maybe I’ll move some furniture while I’m here and repaint some walls. Do you think they’d mind?
